DIFFSYS

Western Isle Ltd. based in North Wales within the UK, has developed DIFFSYS over the past 10 years, which remains the only commercially available software package allowing the part program preparation of not only aspheres, but also diffractives, and various freeform optical geometries. Western Isle continues to enhance DIFFSYS, to include error compensation in combination with various metrology systems, and links to other CAD/CAM systems.

The flexibility of DIFFSYS allows it to be used on various Ultra-precision machining systems. DIFFSYS encompasses powerful tools for part program preparation, and includes graphics that facilitate the optimisation of tool geometries and other important machining parameters.
